PXR colleagues raise €6,689 for the Johan Cruyff Foundation

Nearly thirty PXR colleagues took part in the Cruyff 14K Run on Sunday 13 April. Together they raised €6,689 for the Johan Cruyff Foundation.

This total placed PXR third in the corporate sponsors ranking. The Cruyff Legacy 14K Run is an annual sporting tribute to Johan Cruyff, in which participants collect funds for the Johan Cruyff Foundation. Worldwide, the foundation empowers children and young people—with and without disabilities—to grow through sport and physical activity.

The PXR runners also showed their athletic side. Thanks to an extensive training programme put together by Runner’s World editor‑in‑chief Liselot Bouman, the team finished 16th in the corporate classification based on running times. Stand‑out performances came from VI staffers Pieter Zwart, who covered the 14 kilometres in 1:00:48, Michel Abbink (1:03:29) and Tim Reedijk (1:06:51).

The Johan Cruyff Foundation supports children who need it most. By setting up sports projects such as Cruyff Courts and Schoolpleinen14, the foundation makes sport accessible to children with fewer opportunities or with physical disabilities. The Cruyff Legacy Run is an important annual event that strengthens this mission.
