Our story
We are PXR. We believe in special interest media created by and for true enthusiasts.
Enthusiasts with a genuine passion for sports, science, tech, or health. Because where attention fades quickly, true interest prevails.
That’s why our brands either go in-depth or expand the playing field. We create enriching stories, provide useful knowledge, and build platforms where our audience feels at home.
We feel the heartbreak for Hamilton, the hurrahs for Haaland. We dive into grassroots sports and conquer Ventoux, dugout to the deadlift, from the womb to all other wonders of science. That’s why we are here only for the genuine and passionate—for the season ticket holders and the sideline supporters, for the diehards and the dreamers, for the passion and the playoffs, for tomorrow’s trophies and timeless triumphs.
Where attention quickly fades, we build a bond with these real people. All driven by and with genuine interest. Because genuine interest never has to fight for attention.
How did it all begin?
PXR made its debut in 2015, initially under the name Digital Enterprises. The company started as a technology firm specializing in online advertising. Soon, Digital Enterprises evolved, leading to the launch of an online publishing operation. With titles like VoetbalPrimeur, the company firmly established its love for sports within its core strategy. The advertising services were organized under a new label: NextDay.

Four years after its founding, Digital Enterprises made a strategic move by acquiring Voetbal International. This strengthened its position in the world of football media.
In 2022, Digital Enterprises transformed into PXR—a fully-fledged media company with digital roots, tech expertise, and a strong focus on special interest. Positioned as an independent player in the Dutch media landscape, PXR boasts the largest unique reach in the men's and sports categories.
With recent additions such as Bright, Scientias, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Bicycling, and Runner’s World, our portfolio has expanded into multiple niches within special interest media.
